1. Who we are

For the purposes of data protection law, Avrio Horizon is the data controller for personal information collected through this website and during pre-engagement enquiries.

2. What we collect and why

2.1 Enquiries and contact forms

When you submit an enquiry we collect your name, work email address, company name, your message and, optionally, how you heard about us and your website. We use this to respond to your enquiry and assess whether we can help. Legal basis: legitimate interests (responding to business enquiries).

2.2 WhatsApp messages

If you contact us via WhatsApp we receive your phone number and message content through WhatsApp's platform. We use this solely to respond. WhatsApp's own privacy policy governs their processing. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

2.3 Website analytics

We use Vercel Analytics, a privacy-respecting service that does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites and does not build a personal profile. It records aggregated page view data to help us understand which content is useful. No personal identifier is collected or stored.

2.4 Engagement data

When a consulting engagement begins, a separate engagement contract governs what data is shared, how it is handled and for how long it is retained. A mutual NDA is signed before any client data is shared with us. We work inside your own environment and access controls wherever possible, with read-only access by default, and all access is revoked at handoff.

3. How we use personal information

We use your information to: respond to your enquiry; scope and deliver engagements you request; meet legal and regulatory obligations; and send you information you have explicitly asked for. We do not sell personal information. We do not send marketing emails to anyone who has not asked to receive them.

4. Who we share it with

We share your information only where necessary:

• Email delivery: our email service provider processes messages for delivery.
• Website hosting: Vercel, Inc. hosts this website and processes anonymised analytics.
• Engagement specialists: where an engagement involves qualified chartered accountants, company secretaries or legal counsel in our network, the information they need to perform their professional duties is shared under confidentiality obligations.
• Legal requirements: we disclose information where required by law, court order or regulatory authority.

We do not transfer personal data outside India, the United States or the European Union except under standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.

5. How long we keep it

Enquiry data is retained for up to two years unless a longer period is needed for an ongoing engagement or legal obligation. Engagement data is retained as specified in the engagement contract, and never longer than six years after the engagement closes, in line with standard commercial record-keeping requirements.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; request erasure of your data; object to or restrict processing; and request portability of your data. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (India) and the GDPR (UK and EU) these rights apply and we will honour them.

To exercise any right, write to hello@avriohorizon.com. We respond within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a request.

7. Cookies

This website does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. Vercel's analytics are cookieless. If we add any functionality that uses cookies in future we will update this policy and provide a consent mechanism before setting them.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and least-privilege principles. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take every reasonable precaution.

9. Children

This website is directed at business professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify clients by email. Continued use of the website after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
